Please ban discussion of Kane again - I am getting a bad feeling of déjà vu that the arguments over his case are sounding just like what happened at Stickhandled, and that place got so toxic even without protection of anonymity. There is nothing to be gained from the discussions but wank without end, since there are no real answers.

While we understand your frustration, we're not going to reinstate the ban on Patrick Kane at this time. The initial ban was made because there wasn't any new information coming out, and we felt that some nonnie(s) were using the topic as an excuse to create wank. The news that the case won't go to trial is an important development to many nonnies, and they should be able to discuss their feelings about that here.

That said, we do have IP logging on. We're keeping a close eye on things, and we have and will continue to screen needlessly inflammatory nonnies by IP. We also don't expect this to remain an active topic forever.

We might revisit the idea of a ban in the future if we perceive an ongoing problem, but we're not going to re-ban Patrick Kane discussion at this time.
