New anon following up on this: No new information has been coming up on the Kane investigation for quite awhile now, but every time he's brought up, it turns into the same arguments and shitposting.
I feel like this is going to continue to be an ongoing problem that won't just go away with time. I like the anon above's suggestion for a Kane-specific post, or just banning him altogether like the kinkmeme has done.
There's unlikely to be any new information on the Kane investigation at all at this point, and the arguments are definitely repetitive, and we likely have some nonnies who use the topic to create wank. So I absolutely understand the frustration. However, the current conversation happened because a well-known fandom figure posted 8k about the Patrick Kane rape case and fandom, which is hopefully something that isn't going to happen every day.
The Mods have discussed before, and frankly we don't think it would be feasible to run a separate post for Kane discussion, just on a practical level where we would have to mod it as well as the main meme! We might consider another ban or partial ban, though. Us Mods will have to discuss this for a bit, because I do feel that there's a more complicated balance to strike on this one than there is for our ban on discussing trolls, for example. Even if we don't institute a ban now, it's something we've thought about doing if we spotted a recurring issue.

So thank you for feedback! The Mods will discuss.
